About Macmillan Practice Online
Macmillan Practice Online (MPO) is a new series of interactive courses for English language learners. Over thirty courses are available, offering extra practice for Macmillan coursebooks as well as general, business and academic English, and exam preparation. Available at six levels, in British and American English, there is a Macmillan Practice Online course to suit all language learners.
MPO is published by Macmillan English Campus, part of the Macmillan Education Group, one of the world’s leading publishers of English language teaching materials.
Each course offers over 100 high-quality interactive resources written by our expert team of language teachers, offering an average of 30 hours of study. The versatile resources include an enjoyable selection of language, grammar and vocabulary exercises, listening and pronunciation practice, sample essays, web projects and games.
MPO includes a comprehensive database of over 450 grammar reference units, each with a detailed explanation, learning tips and interactive activities for reinforcement as well as access to the Macmillan English Dictionary Online, helping students extend their vocabulary and improve their pronunciation. MPO allows students to create their own word lists, save web links and bookmark activities, enabling them to become confident, independent learners.

Courses available include extra practice materials for six of our most popular ELT coursebook series: Expressions, In Company, New Inside Out, Inspiration, Sky High and Straightforward. MPO also offers general English courses at Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) levels A2 to C2 and academic English at advanced level, available in both British and American English. A range of exam preparation exercises and courses is also available, including TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication), PET (Preliminary English Test), FCE (First Certificate in English) and IELTS (International English Language Testing System) practice.

Students are given a mark for each exercise and can measure their progress in the online markbook. The markbook can be downloaded as a PDF, to be emailed to the teacher when requested. Students can also complete the MPO Record of Achievement, which is compatible with the Council of Europe’s European Language Portfolio.

MPO can meet the needs of all teen and adult students who are looking for an easy way to extend their English language, inside and outside of the classroom. MPOs cater for exam practice, general, business and academic English, and are being used by students from Spain to Vietnam, Japan to Argentina, Turkey to Mexico.
The courses are ideal for schools looking to offer a blended-learning approach, combining face-to-face classes with online materials. MPO can be used for pre-course preparation, for homework and reference during a course, or for consolidation of learning outcomes at the end of a course.
MPO is also the ideal solution for students who want to do further independent study to reinforce their classroom learning.

MPO is delivered online and is a subscription service. Simply select the course and level you want to buy, and complete our online order form. You will receive an email from us with a unique username and password, enabling you to log on to your MPO course. Passwords are valid for 12 months. If you're buying multiple logins for your students, we will send you a list of user names and passwords to allocate to your class.
