Academic English Courses
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) requires not only a high level of English competence, but also advanced academic skills. Macmillan Practice Online Academic English courses offer students a wealth of materials to help them improve both their language and study skills within an academic context.

The courses include academic reading, listening and grammar, plus exercises supporting tutorials and seminars, presentations, and written assignments. Study skills covered include note-taking, critical reading and listening, paraphrasing, and avoiding plagiarism. A unique feature of Macmillan Practice Online Academic English courses is their inclusion of a University Culture section, introducing students to life at university and offering insights into choosing courses, assessment, finding a place to live and asking for support.
Each general EAP course includes 100 online resources and is available in either British or American English. In addition, there are two exam practice courses which offer the same EAP resources, but with additional practice material for IELTS or TOEFL®, to help students achieve exam success.
