What is in Macmillan Practice Online?
Macmillan Practice Online is an online English course with a Markbook/Gradebook where your results and progress are saved. In addition you will have access to the Macmillan English Dictionary Online and if you are assigned to a class there will be a messaging function to email your teacher.

What are courses?
A Macmillan Practice Online course is an online course that is made up of a collection of resources to practise language, listening, vocabulary and pronunciation including web projects, videos and games. Each course contains up to 200 interactive resources.

What types of course are available?
There are many different types of Macmillan Practice Online courses. These include general, business, academic and exam practice courses as well as courses that accompany Macmillan coursebooks.

I would like my teacher to view my scores and progress on my Practice Online course, is that possible?
Yes, your teacher can give you a unique password to join their Macmillan Practice Online class. You simply log into your Macmillan Practice Online course click on ‘Join a class’ and enter this password. Your teacher will then see your course, your scores and your progress. You will also be able to send and receive messages.

Can I do a course without a teacher?
Yes, it is not necessary to work with a teacher on your Macmillan Practice Online course, you can use the course independently.

How long does the course last?
Your Macmillan Practice Online course lasts one year from the date that you activate your code. You can see your course activation and expiry date in the My account area of your Macmillan Practice Online.

Is the CPE Practice Online course changing to reflect the new exam?
The CPE exam is changing. From 2013, the exam will have a new format. The Reading and Use of English paper will be combined. We are publishing a new and updated course called Cambridge English: Proficiency Practice Online. If you are already using the CPE course, you will have access to the old course and the new version.
